Metoprolol is used in the treatment of chest pain (angina), arrhythmias, heart attack, hypertension, heart failure and migraine headaches.
Metoprolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart. It works by slowing heart rate and relaxing blood vessels to improve blood flow to the organ.
How it works
Supermet H Tablet is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Metoprolol Succinate and Hydrochlorothiazide. Metoprolol Succinate is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which lowers blood pressure by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.
