Chlorthalidone is used in hypertension, heart failure, edema (Fluid retention) and kidney stone.
How it works
Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by relaxing blood vessels which lower the blood pressure and also reduces the workload of the heart.
Chlorthalidone is a thiazide diuretic. It lowers blood pressure and fluid retention in edema by removing the extra water and electrolytes from the body.
Common side effects
Dizziness, Back pain, Diarrhoea, Sinus inflammation, Increased potassium level in blood.
Headache, Nausea, Increased blood uric acid, Decreased potassium level in blood, Glucose intolerance, Altered blood lipids.
